The current study was conducting to investigate the effect of suggested metacomprehension based strategy on enhancing some EFL critical reading skills and preferences secondary stage students from Gamal Abdel Naser Secondary School for Girls in academic year 2021/2022. They were equally divided into experimental control groups. researcher adopted quasi-experimental design where group received instruction using enhance their preferences.
